At a, meeting of, the New,, Zealand Swimming Council last night, the secretary reported that he had written to the Australian Union inquiring if Eve and Christie would be able to visit New Zealand next season. He had also sent a similar inquiry to the Swedish Association with respect to Arne Borg. Miss Charlotte Epsen, of the Women’s Swimming Association, New York, wrote expressing the opinion that there Would be no. difficulty in arranging for American fcirls to visit the Dominion. It was decided to ascertain the views of centres" in regard to the Australian proposal. Weismuller will be invited to make a visit next March.
