Received April 3, 10.55 a.m. CAPETOWN, April 2. Trouble has arisen with a tribe of natives called Rehoboths, in the South West Protectorate, who have prevented the police from arresting some men accused of the contravention of the branding law. . , . , it is stated that six hundred men, armed with rifles, are displaying open defiance. A detachment of the Air Force is on its way to the scene. The administrator is mobilising burghers and one himtired and fifty police with Lewis and Maxim guns, are on tlie spot. It is reported ihut tlie rehoboths have cabled to the League of Nations to intervene: —Ans. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
