SALE OF MEAT WORKS.
COMMISSION OF INQUIRY. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, April 1. Mr J. Alexander (Auckland), chairman of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the sale to Vestey Bros, of the * Poverty Bay farmers’ property, returns to Wellington on Saturday morning next, when he will conier with his fellow-commissioners. The Commission will sit to take evidence on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the following week, when it is hoped to finish the Wellington evidence with the exception of the Minister for Agriculture (the Hon. W. Nosworthy) arid Dr. _C. J. Realces (Director-General of Agriculture). The Commission purposes going to Gisborne after the Easter holidays to take evidence there. Possibly evidence will be- heard at other centres not yet definitely decided upon. Later, in nei lington, * there will be a further sitting lor the purpose of hearing the evidence ■of the Minister and Dr. Re alios, which will he taken last of all.
