THE BUGGY GOES OUT
CHANGING TYPES OF TRAFFIC.
During the 17 years he has been stationed at the Main South gate,' Air. Lloyd has kept a valuable record of everything that has passed over that highway. For the purposes of comparison the totals of traffic fpr the first and last years are illuminating. The figures .for 1908 (with those of 1924) are as follow: Horsemen and loose harness 6929 (1216), one-horse buggies 12,581 (1074), two-horse buggies 626 (7); waggons, carts, drays and miscellaneous 2632 (3096), bicycles 2979 (1876). cattle 7969 (7098). sheep 15492 (11,343), motoivcars 145 (10,232), motor-lorrier, heavy and light, none fpr the first five years (2684). motorbusses or charabancs, none for the first six years (712), motor-cycles none the first year, but 92 the second year (2120), motor-cycles and chairs, recorded a s motor-cycles for the first five years (451).
