Turkish troops have begun a. general offensive against the Kurds, with the object of encircling them and compelling them to surrender. —Times. [The cable news recently told us-that a, rebellion had broken out among the Kurds in Asia Minor, which f was promptly crushed by Turkish troops. The affected area remained under martial law while the authorities were preparing for what they called “ suppressive action” on a large scale. Apparently this has commenced.]
