Another drop in the Dominion notifications of infantile paralysis cases was recorded yesterday, twelve cases being reported for the 24 hours to 9 a.m., compared with 15 on Thursday and 28 on Wednesday. The. health officer states that most of tlie cases m infantile- paralysis in the hospital are beginning to clear .up, and lie anticipates that in a month -or two. quite a number will lie hack to normal health. Valuable knowledge has been gained by means of post-nior-tems. > DAXNEVTRKFi, March 27.
A case of infantile paralysis, a Maori bahv aged nine months, from Tahoraite. was admitted to the Dannevire Hosnital to-day. 'This is the first case locally for some weeks. TTMARU, March 27. Only two fresh cases of infantile paralysis have been reported here this week. To-day two cases were discharged from hospital cured. SOUTH TARANAKI DISTRICT. It is satisfactory to record that there is a clean sheet at the Hawera Hospitalas far as regards new cases, this being the case now for nearly two weeks. All the cases in hospital are progressing favourably. There certainly appears to be a distinct improvement in the position generally as regards Taarnaki,
