RUGBY FOOTBALL.
HAW ERA WEDNESDAY CLUB. The annual meeting of the club was held last nighth in the Borpugh Chambers.. Air D. Strachan was voted to the chair. In moving the adoption of the bal-ance-sheet, which showed a credit balance of £2l 17s sd, the chairman said the club had had a most successful year, and it rested with members to say if they would have an equally successful year this coming season. The club find played seven matches and had won seven.
In reply to u question, the secretary (Mr A. D. Jury) said the proceeds of the dance were devoted to the general funds of the club. i

L. C'ob.urn; club captain. Mr A. D. Jury; lion, .surgeon, Dr. Sinclair; coach, Mr A. Alger; committee, ‘Messrs Hall, Foster, .Jury, pllis. A. Bryan, Cpbuin, Goodwin; selectors, Messi's Alger and Jury; delegates to union. Messrs Coburn and Alger; auditor, Air C. Cmmings. » The. secretary reported that a gold medal had been presented by Mr B. C. Jen nett, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded for his generosity. Mr Hall was appointed a delegate to attend a meeting fixed for Saturday in connection with the proposed scheme for dressing shed and baths. The chairnan said, it was a good scheme, and deserved the support of every member. The subscription was fixed at 2s 6d 'or active and os for honorary members. It was resolved that, subject to the approval of the union, the chib colours he changed from amber and blade to rreen and white, and that as, soon as this was decided a supply of 18 jerseys lie procured. The opening practice game will be held oai Wednesday next, and in connection with the seosop’s matches it was .de idecl that hop. members he admitted on .their tickets to every match. A special vote of thanks was accorded to the ladies for valued assistance during •-the' year and in connection with the club’s very successful dance, to the retiring officers and secretary, and to the press for useful publicity. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
