DUNEDIN EXHIBITION.
OPENING DAY FIXED. C«T TBLXtiKAPB UEU ASSOCIATION. DUNEDIN, March 26. At a meeting of the directors of the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition to-night, the chairman (Mr. J. Sutherland Doss) referred to the opening date. He explained the position in regard to the carnival week in Christchurch, and said it seemed undesirable to clash with the fixture there. Mr. Hayward said he thought that all the directors were agreed that they should avoid clashing with' the Christchurch fixture. • „ Mr. Sincock said he was in favour o: opening a little earlier than the date originally proposed, and lie wonh. strongly suggest that the opening da; be a Saturday. After a little further discussion it was agreed to open the ex hibition on Tuesday, November 17, pro vided that that date was suitable tithe Governor-General. (Sir Charles Eer giison), who would be asked to perform the opening ceremony. A fine collection of between 50 and 60 photographs of various exhibits at the Wembley Exhibition have been received by the exhibition executive.
