LAST NIGHT’S REPORT. (BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION'. WELLINGTON, March 26. Fifteen cases of infantile, paralysis were reported to the Health Department for the period ot 24 hours ending at 9 a.m. yesterday, compared with 28 for the preceding corresponding period. v Yesterday, notifications comprised: Auckland 4, Wellington 5, Canterbury 6. No cusses were reported in Taranaki. CHRISTCHURCH, March 27. The belief that the infantile paralysis epidemic wa® getting to the end of its course in the city and that tlie- majoriy of future cases would occur in the country disltricpsi doe® not appear to be justified, according" to to-day’si notifications.

Unfortunately the disease seems to have broken out afresh in the .metropolitan area, with the result that six additional ca.sesi have been, reported- since noon yesterday. These arc all in the city and the immediate suburb's. The following resolution was carried by the Addington branch of the A.S.R.S.: “That the Minister for Health be written to. protesting against the removal of restrictions on the isolation of men whose children, are suffering from, infantile, paralysis. By lifting isolation fromi the men the Health Department are. jeopardising the health, of the children of the country.” AUCKLAND’, March. 26. Five more qf.se® of infantile paralysis were reported in, the Auckland health district to-day, three being in. the eitv area and two from South Auckland. There was one death, in hospital. NELSON.
