FLTHAM.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
i BACON COMPANY’S WORKS. The Bacon Company’s works at Eltham, which have been more or. less quiet for some time past, began on Monday more active operations, and each day since have put through a fair number of stock. Cattle are being taken, and they are coming forward in good numbers. The works have been used as the abattoir for Eltharn, and consequently all the cattle, sheep and pigs, used for the... people of the town and district have gone through the works. THE NEW SCHOOL. Anyone passing through the town cannot fail to be struck not only with the fine building erected, for the school in Eltharn, lint also with the wonderful site on which it has been placed- The building is quite finished and ready for occupation, and the committee are waiting for advice from the Minister as to the date on which he can come to perform the opening ceremosy.
