WELLINGTON, March 25

The question of where motor registration number plates should be manufactured is on the road to settlement, for efforts, backed by the Government, ate being made to have future supplies made ,in NeVv Zealand, instead of being imported froiii America. The Hon. .Mr Bollard stated to-day that with ' that object in view he is calling a conference of those bodies interested! to be held in Wellington on April 20. Provided the right kind of plate can be made at reasonable cost to owners of motor vehicles, he says that the Government certainty desires that the plates should be made in the the Dominion. . •Mr Bollard commends the expeditious manner in which the registration of cars has been carried opt bv the authorities up to the present.
