MELBOURNE, March 24. A revised list of those killed in the level crossing accident accounts for the fallowing : —Michael McDonnell, aged 59; Clarence McDonnell, aged 32; Mrs. Peafl McDonnell, aged 30; Raymond McDonnell, aged four months; Martin Foley, aged 3(1; Enid Grace, aged 18; Edward Sha,thick, aged 37; Mrs. Josephine Shaliiock, wife of the former.
The baby’s, was the only body recognisable. lit is surmised that it died of shook. •
The .safety' belli, was tested after the accident and was found to be in, good order.
Just before the smash, the crossing keeper is said to have shouted :—-“For God’is sake, get, a. move on. The train is coming.” It is. stated that he had the gates, open to let the car pass, but details arc very meagre. 'Phe Railway Department is investigating the .suggestion, that one; set of gates was. open to let the car pass, while, the other was do,seel against it.
