ELTHAM COURT.

YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS. Mr. A* M. Mowlem, S.M., presided over the" sitting of the Magistrate’s Court at Eltham yesterday. Judgment by default was given for plaintiff in each of the following undefended civil oases : T. Forsyth v. L. Fraie, £3 16s lid, costs £1 9s 6d; same v. G. Tuke, £5 16s 6d,’costs £1 10s 6d ; same v. H. H. Glentworth. £1 ss, costs 18s; J. H. Doyle v. IV. Holmes, £4 10s. costs £1 3s 6d: Eltham Motors, Ltd., v. Chai’les Dyke, £2 10s, costs £1 3s 6d. For driving a gig without a. light in High Street, John Freer, Tirimoana, was fined £1 and 7s costs. Richard Freer, Tirimoana, for riding a bicycle without a light in High Street, was fined 10s, with 7s costs. Similar treatment was meted out to Leslie Julian, of Eltham, for a like offence.
