NO CHANGE AT NEW PLYMOUTH. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. NEW PLYMOUTH, March 15. There is no change: in life situation on the waterfront. The determination of the waterside* - * not to pass the re solution demanded by the employers was reiterated over the week-end, and the local employers’ representative had nothing to report this afternoon. The mein offer to discharge flour from the Corinna without wages, i>ut the award does not allow this to be done. The flour shortage can. be overeofne by supplies from the south by rail. POSITION AT LYTTELTON. MEN REFUSE OVERTIME. CHRISTCHURCH, March 14. When the foremen from the various shipping companies at Lyttelton ordered the watersiders back to work overtime this afternoon, the men, with the exception of those engaged on the Silkworth and Wahine, stated that they did not intend to resume after 12 o’clock. SITUATION AT LYTTELTON. CHRISTCHURCH, March 16. The watersiders have consented to work overtime to-night. The Hurunui, which arrived this morning to load for London, required two gangs each for meat and general cargo. The gangs for the general cargo were obtained, but only one gang could lie got to load meat.
