Miss Quirk regained consciousness, and the police expect to make an arrest following an investigation and what Miss Quirk is able to tell them. Cecil Aves, a boarder at it-he house where the Redfern murder was committed, and who was the fiance of Alice Quirk has been arrested and charged with the murder of Mrs Quirk. He made a statement to the police, the nature of which has not been disclosed.
