ENGLISH TEAM NOT COAIING. (BY TELKGRAF IT—PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, 'March 12. At a meeting of the Council of the New Zeaalnd Football Association tonight, Air F. Campbell reported re the English tour that Air Storey (N.S.W. Association) had said he did not think there Was a hope of getting the English team to New Zealand. Australia offered £3500 and New Zeaalnd bad replied offering £3250. Australia refused, hut when New Zealand replied agreeing to £3500, it was too late, as the Commonwealth had begun negotiations with county clubs. It was now out of the question that the English team would come to New Zealand. A cable had been sent asking Australia to request England to extend the time of the tour to include New Zealand. No reply had been received. Auckland wrote asking when the Chatham Cup ‘medals would'be ready. An order for the medals had been given, and the. design and Medals are to be proceeded with at once. The Canterbury Football Association sought to compel Auckland to, fulfil the guarantee of £75 in connection with the Blown Shield match in Auckland. It was decided to. write asking Auckland for their version of. the arrangements. The draft balance-sheet of the Chinese tour is completed, and is to be issued as. soon 'as audited., The annual meeting of- delegates was fixed for April 22.
