RE-OPENING OF SCHOOLS.. NOT PROBABLE THIS MONTH. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT ' WELLINGTON, March 9. Sir James Parr (Minister for Education) informed a reporter that lie thought there was no prospect whatever of the schools re-opening on the I6th inst.. Monday next. “Indeed, personally,” said the Minister, “I don’t see much chance of the schools opening before the end of this month. Looking at the position of the epidemic to-day, 1 should not care to take the responsibility of--opening any school lor some time yet. The educational authorities will be largely guided, of course, by the Health Department in regard to this matter, but the above is the opinion of the educational authorities, upon whom a large responsibility rests.” REPORTS OF CASES.
