THE WATERLOO BRIDGE.
■ PROPOSED DEMOLITION. WIDESPREAD PROTESTS MADE. LONDON, February. 23. Widespread protests are being made against the proposal to demolish W aterloo Bridge and erect another. Lord Curzon, in a letter Ip the Times urges the London 'County Council to think twice before sanctionin<r the destruction of what is admittedly" the finest bridge in England and one of the finest in the world. He points out that while the council engineers declare that the bridge cannot be rebuilt or repaired, others equally competent express an opinion entirely opposite.
