The Queenmoor is being worked by the Wharf Labourers’ Federation without trouble, although the teeamen’s Union declared tihe vessel “ black.” SEAMEN OFFER G UARLANTEE., MELBOURNE, March 9. The Federated Seamen's. Union offered to give the Government security for the performance of work without stoppages, if Mr. Bruoe withdrew his notification offering the Commonwealth, Line for sa.le, the .security offered to be a substantial cash guarantee. So. far the Government is showing no eagerness to accept the offer, apparently not placing reliance on the seamen’s promises. The Federal Arbitration Court adjourned till. Tuesday applications by shipping companies and the Seamen’s Union for variation of the, .seamen’s award in regard to picking up places. MT. KEIMBLA AFFAIRS. SYDNEY. March 9. Tihe hearing of charges against 104 additional miners for participating m an illegal strike at Mount Kembla Colliery was adjourned for a. week, pending the hearing of tin* Full Court application. Tihe Full Court granted a rule nisi returnable on Thursday calling upon the Industrial Arbitration Court and the Port. Kembla Collieries, Ltd., to show cause wli.v a writ of prohibition should not be issued in regard to the sentencing of miners.
