WATERFRONT SITUATION.
UNCHANGED AT NEW PLYMOUTH. (by TKLEGRAPIT —PRESS ASSOCIATION NEW PLYMOUTH, March 10. The waterfront situation is unchanged. The Hurunui has finished loading, except her meat cargo, and is now waiting developments. The Corinna arrives this afternoon with general cargo, but at present both sides are standing firm, the employers insisting on an undertaking to observe the award before calling for labour, and the men maintaining that there is no need for any pledge, as they contend they have not broken the award. The Corinna’s arrival may bring matters to a head as there is a shortage of flour.
