MOUAT CASE.
ACCUSED BEFORE THE COURT. REMANDED FOR A WEEK. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATIONCHRISTCHURCH, March 10. Frederick Peter Mount, the husband of Ellen Louise Nellie Mount, was charged at the Court this morning that oil or about February 20 he cl id kill one Nellie Mount, thereby committing murder. On the application of the police. Mouat was remanded till the 18th, an application for bail by the accused’s solicitor being refused. The court was crowded during the sitting, and many people were unable to gain admittance. Mouat looked weary and worn, his clothes were untidy and bespattered with dirt.
