TAIHAPE SPORTS MEETING

~ (J!Y TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) TAIHAPE, March 6. The executive committee decided last night to hold its sports on March 17 and 18, but to delete all events for children. The nominations total 70 runners and 90 axemen from all parts of both islands. MOTOR-CAR ACCIDENT. GISBORNE, March 6. A motor-car, owing to a mishap to! the steering wheel, went over a hanhat Maitawai and fell 40 feet. The driver, Owen Christensen, escaped unhurt, but one of the passengers, Collins, received a broken collar-bone, and another, Engelbretsen, had two ribs broken.
