FARMERS’ UNION.

PROVINCIAL EXEChTIVE

The. ordinary meeting of the • provincial executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union was held yesterday in the Hawera County Council chambers, when there were presen: Messrs R. Dunn (president), A. J. Haseltine, John Forbes, W. McD’Dowie, E. J. Betts W F. Lyndon, J. C. Duff, and W. T. Seed. Some business was dealt with concerning the branches, • the organiser’s visit, and capitation,. The secretary reported that a full statement of the position had been forwarded Co the Dominion executive.

It was resolved to hold the annual provincial conference in Hawera about the middle of May. The exact date will be fixed later and notice will be given to branches. The secretary reported that he had been asked for a list of all financial members in each branch to send to the Dominion executive, and this he was arranging to supply, with the assistance of branch secretaries and committees.
