Pat sheep were Is 6d to 2s easier, fat lambs Is 6d easier, and fat cattle a shade better than last week. Store Sheep.—A slightly smaller entry than for several weeks. Market better for good ewes, particularly hali-tn-ed and wethers, by 2s a head.. Lambs were slightly primer than last sale. A very buoyant sale, lines passed earlier in the day being sold at owners’ reserves. Fat lambs. —3470, penned. Very mixed quality. On. account of the waterfront trouble and an under strength board of butchers at the freezing works, the market was below the export schedule prices by ici per pound. Prime under *361 b made 12ld ; light seconds and overweights, front 11ßl to 12id; extra prime lambs, 45s lOd: prime, 38s 0d to 425; medium, 3Ss to 38s; light, 33s to 35s fid; store lambs, 20s to 32s fid. Fat Sheep.—Slacker sale. Exporters bought much less freely than usual, and aethers were down by Is 6d, and ewes by to 2s per head. Exera prime .wethers, 45s Kiel; prime, 38s Gd to 42s fid ; medium, 35s fid to 38s; light, 33s to 375; medium, 30s to 32s 6d; light, 26s to 29s 6d; ordinary, 22s to 255. Fat Cattle. —A smaller entry comprising 432 head, and a steadying up of prices, cow and heifer beef being 20s a head better than last week, with big bodies showing little change. Good serviceable beef averaged from 33s to •38s per 1001 b; extra prime steers, £l6 17s fid; ■prime, £l4 10s to' £l6 15s; medium, £l2 to £l4 ss; light, £9 10s to £ll 10s; rough, £7 12s fid to £9; extra prime heifers, £l3 2s Gd ; prime, £9 5s to £ll ss; ordinary £s' 15s to £9; extra prime cows, £l3 17s fid; prime,, £8 1.6 s to £l,O 15s; ordinary, £4 10s to £8 ss; old. £3 7s Gd to £5 7s fid. Dairy Cattle. —An entry of 53 head. Good cows met with’ keen demand. Extra good second, third,' and fourth calvers, £l7 10 s; good, £rl4 10s; medium, £5 to £7 10's; best springing heifers, £7 to £l2 10s; medium; .£•!■ :10s; cows in milk, £3 to £5. Fat Pigs.—Porkers a shade better. Baconers about the same. Choppers, £3 to £6; light baconers, £3 15s to £4 ss; heavy, £4 10s to £5 (average price per lb fid to 7d); light porkers, 50s to 57s 6d; heavy, £3 to £3 8s (average- price per lb, 7d to 8d).
