(From Our Own Correspondent.) TE NG'UTU DOMAIN BOAItD The annual meeting of the Te Ngutu Domain Board, wae hold at the domain on •Friday. 'Present: Messrs. J- G. Barclay (chairman), T. .Walsli, G. tiuilcy and E. 0. Betts (lion, secretary). ‘The lion, secretary read the annual report and 'balance-sheet, the latter showing a. credit-balance ol : £2-1 Os '<«■ Against -ill is, however, there was an outstanding liability ol £dd lls Od. The secretary explained that since the did of the financial year another hailyear's rent- had come ill, which would more than, cover the liability. The report and balance-sheet were adopted Mr. Barclay was - nominated tor the position: of chairman, but as he was Feaving shortly on a. trap Home, he thought it would be better tor another member to act. Mr. Betts, who was formerly chairman for a period of nine vears, agreed to resume the position during Mr. Barclay’s: absence, and he was. elected for the ensuing year. On the motion of Messrs. Walsh and Barclay itt av«« resolved that a- vote of appreciation ol Mr. Betts s service to the hoard and of the keen interest he had taken in the a Hairs of the domain he recorded in the minutes. Mr. Betts, in thanking the members, for the vote, assured them that what be had done had not been m t hard task, but a, work of pleasure- He paid a tribute to hj'S" fellow members on the board. They had been a. goof 1 lot to work with, t-lieie was not a- single shirker, and each one had: taken his share of the responsibility. The caretaker applied lor an. extension, to his garden, and this, subject to certain, conditions, was granted. A vote of appreciation was passed to the caretaker. Mr. O. Bevel!, for bio excellent work during the past year, members commenting on the neat and tidy appearance of the domain. It was resolved that tenders for the leased portion of the domain, the lease of which expired on July 31, lie called not later than May next. A hearty vote of thanks to -Mr. Barclay for his service as chairman during the past year concluded the meeting. SPORT’S OLUB. Art the annual meeting of the Sport’s Club notice of motion was. given t-liat the club be wound up. A further meeting was called for the following week, when it was decided that no- sports meeting be held this ye ay, and that consideration of the affairs of the club be held over for twelve months. The position now is that the notice of ,motion still stands, and wall be brought before the next annual meeting.
