RAIN IN WANGANUI. CENTRE DELEGATES CONFER. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. WANGANUI, Feb. 28. Rain set in at midday, and the outlook is not, promising for the second day of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Championship meeting. The conference of delegates to-day recommended that the New Zealand Council, when seeking visits from overseas teams, endeavour to arrange for such in the previous season, and that steps he taken immediately to invite an American team to the Dominion next season, centres to agree to guarantee a proportion of the expense, such amount to be defined by the Council two months prior to the team’s departure from America. Delegates also recommended that the next New Zealand Championships be held at, Dunedin, and that an East Coast (North Island) Centre he formed.
