FIRE ON OPAWA.

STILL SERIOUS. DAMAGE TO CARGO. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. (Received -Feb. 26, 1.85 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 25. The owners of the Opawa have received a telegram from Perim stating that the fire in No. 3 hold ’tween decks was still serious, hut was under control. There hacl been further damage, cheese running to oil. The cargo was being removed. Considerable damage to the cargo was probable in Nos. 1 and 2 holds. The, refrigerated temperature was holding good. The danger to these holds was primarily due to the non-refrigeration of, cargo. Part of the trunkways in No. 3 hold was destroyed.—Reuter.
