NIGHT CLUBS.
RAID BY POLICE. A FRIENDLY AFFAIR. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, Feb. 22. Simultaneous midnight raids on several night clubs were carried out at Brighton. # • Entrance to the. largest was*cained by means of a ruse. A umsimed constable stopped at the door, when a confrere, in evening dress, rushed up and threatened to strike the constable. The door was opened and the man rushed past the doorkeeper, who ran after him. At this moment twentyfive officers in evening dress arrived in taxis and rushed in. The proprietress described the raid as most friendly. Dancing continued while one hundred names) were, taken. The officers remained to see the cabaret.
