LAST GAME OF TOUR

NORTH v. SOUTH ISLAND. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT VANCOUVER, Feb. 21. The All Blacks' played an exhibition match to-day, which resulted 1 in the North Island defeating the South Island by 25 points to 14. The weather was railiy and the ground was muddy and slippery. Four thousand spectators were present. The teams were:

North Island.—Nepia, Svenson, Barry, Lucas, Leroy, Cooke, Mill, Porter Donald, Clark, Harvey, Al. Brownlie, C. Brownlie, West, Cupples. South Island. —B. Rowan, Robilliard, Brown, Steele, Nieholls, M. Rowan, Dailey, White, Alunro, Aledeary Alasters, Stewart, Choate, Clarke, Thornton.

Vancouver supplied seven men. In the second half Sherwood replaced Clarke, while Barry withdrew hurt. Cooke had his shoulder hurt in a scrummage in the first spell.

Tries were scored for the North Island by Donald and l Mill, which were converted' by Cooke and Nepia respectively, and for the South Island Munro, Nieholls and' Robilliard' crossed the line, the last named from a pass from Dailey. Nieholls converted this try. Donald then added a couple more tries to North’s tally. In the second spell Svenson, Donald and Al. Brownlie scored tries for the North. The scorer of the other South Island' trv is not ascertainable.

Before the game there was a presentation of a .souvenir silver cup and individual souvenirs subscribed in popularly small- sums, aggregating 700 dollars. . ,

The All Blacks leave to-night to embark at San Francisco. -

LESSONS OF THE TOUR

LONDON, Feb. 24. Copies of an article by Alark Nieholls explaining the All Blacks’ strategy have been distributed gratis to clubs and schools in order that the lessons of the tour will not be lost. Applications for copies are still pouring in.
