MINE TRAGEDY.
FIFTY-ONE MINERS KILLED. GAS EXPLOSION THE CAUSE. BY CABLE -PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT NEW YORK, Feb. 21. At Sullivan, Indiana, fifty-one miners were killed in a mine through a gas explosion. Twenty-three bodies have been recovered.
Rescuers are fighting the fumes to recover the remainder. Women and children are weeping about the pithead in the drizzling rain.
