VFCTORIA COLLEGE RECOGNISED. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Feb. 20. At the meeting of the University Senate to-day, Professor Hunter, of Victoria College, moved that Victoria University College lie recognised as a school of agriculture. He pointed out that a Chair of Agriculture had already been established there, and there were already students in agriculture attending the college. If recognition was not given by the University, it would mean that students would have to lie turned away. Sir Robert Stout seconded the motion. After the claims of Auckland had ibepii advocated find several amendments proposed and withdrawn, Professor Hunter's motion was carried.
