MURDER OF INDIANS.
BRUTAL OUTRAGE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. PEKING, Feb. IS. The British Consul at Canton is protesting against the murder of two Indians by Yuimanese troops.* The Indians were attracted to the waterfront by a commotion caused by Yunnanese soldiers commandeering a Portuguese launch carrying armed Russian guards. The Yunnanese roughly handled the Indians, whom the police rescued and lodged in the police station, which the Yunnanese , raided. They dragged the Indians to the waterfront riddled them with bullets , and threw the bodies into the river. ; —Sydney Sun Cable.
