Airs W. G. Simpson has arrived back in Hawera after a trip to Scotland. A Sydney message reports the death of J. Searle, one of the Commonwealth's best known riflemen fie was born in New Zealand. A vote of sympathy with the reatives of the late Fireman Hart, of Elthnm Brigade, and Fireman Bartlett, of the Kaponga Brigade, was passed at the annual conference of the Taranaki District United Fire Brigades’ Association held at Kaponga last evening.
