-OPERA HOUSE—TO-NIGHT
A NEW STAR—EDMUND LOWE. The Opera House introduces a new star to Hawera motion picturegoers tonight, when ‘‘Honour Among Men’? will be presented. He is Edmund Lowe, and he earned his right to a place in the cinematic constellation by a series of superb dramatic portrayals in William Fox pictures, these were the feature roles in “The Fool” and “The Silent Command.’’ This picture is based on a Richard Harding Davis novel, “The King’s Jackal,’’ which lent itself to filming in an ideal manner. The picture is distinguished by beautiful photography, against which is imposed the royal grandeur of a tiny kingdom and the exciting action of revolutionists who attempt to restore an exiled king to his throne. Lowe is seen in the wellremembered part of Prince Kalonay, the “Jackal.’’ Claire Adams, one of the most beautiful leading women on the screen, plays the American girl. Denison Clift- directed the picture. A good supporting programme will be presented. t
