WANGANUI RACES. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION. WANGANUI, Feb. 19. The Wanganui Jockey Club’s autumn meeting opened to-day in fine weather. There was a large attendance of the public. The track’ was in good order. Results: — , Maiden Handicap.—Dal Eaton 1, Aropeta- 2, Herculean 3. Scratched: Roburant, Pourihoilio, Grand Lupin, Nastoi-i. Won by three-quarters of a length, half a length separating second and third. Time —limn 31,sec. Stewards’ Handicap.—Siaosi 1, Bright Day 2, Pelham 3. Scratched: Avoia. Won by half a length. Time—lniin 48 2—ssec. Hurdles. —Gold Peak 1, Passin’ Through 2, Dubious 3. Also started : Sling Camp, Velociform. Won by two lengths, three lengths- separating the second and third horses. Time—-3min 15 3-sseo. Welter. — Ural la 1, Drolatique 2, Mountain, Bell 3. Scratched : Passionate and Valencia. Won by half a length, .similar distance between second and third. Time, 1.57 2-5.
