THE KING.

OONDITION CONTINUES SATISFACTORY. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION - COPYRIGHT. LONDON, Feb. 18. . Following on a brief visit of medical advisers to the King last- evening, it was stated that there is nothing to add to a previous bulletin, which stated that His Majesty was .suffering from bronchitis due to influenzal. His general condition is satisfactory, and there are no complications. It is understood that His Majesty rested throughout the day. The Queen attended the Paderewski recital in the Albert Hall in aid of Earl Haig’s British Legion appeal fund, hut was anxious to return to the Palace, and left the concert about 9.30. There was a distinctly sympathetic note- in the cheers with which the audience and crowds outside .greeted: Queen Mary. It appears that .the King caught a chill on Friday night when attending, a performance at the Alhambra. The weather was damp and cold, and it was decided as a precautionary measure to cancel a, football engagement for Saturday. His Majesty attended Divine service in the Palace chapel on Sunday, and walked out in the garden on Monday, hut has not left, the Palace since.

Influenza is again widely prevalent. The Primate, several judges, and more than thirty members of the House of Commons are on the siek list.
