The question of payments by the Government to Ruhr industrialists during the period of isolation is. attracting cun .side cable attention in Germany among other financial scandals. The memorandum denies the press allegations that seven hundred million reic,hmarks were repaid in December,

mil says that the agreement for immediate payment provided for the reduction of debts by over two hundred million reichmarks, and out of the 220 million reichmarks paid in December, only one half was cash.
