DRV' MASH HOPPER. When feeding dry mash to poultry, much of it is waisted unless a contrivance exists to prevent the birds from scratching and scattering the ingredients. The hopper illustrated will be found effective and may easily be made.
It will be noticed that the dry; mash is placed in the top reeep'»ible, and as the birds cat the food at the bottom the supply is gradually replenished by gravitation. The self-feeding hopper may be any size. To hold about a bushel, the dimensions are 20 inches high and 12 wide. FOR SOARING BIRDS. An F.lTective Device. For keeping birds off plots in the home garden, where the seeds of vegetables and flowers have been sown, the contrivance designed bv n South Australian grower has given good results.
