YACHTING.

This is a ‘sport of Kings’ which naturally has no vogue in an inland town, but there will be many in the district, who are interested in the sport and probably-have taken part in yacht racing. Wellington to Picton Hounds. Auckland up the ccast and to Kawau are among the most popular cruises, and at times yachts go further and sail from one of the big ports to another. Recently, a well-known and experienced yachtsman from Nelson had a trip to Auckland and back, via New Plymouth. His boat Is a yacht 36 feet overall, 15 tons in measurement and 9 tons register.
