Newtoit King, Ltd., report : Douglas sheep fair, Monday, 9th February. 1925.—We held our annual ‘■beep fair at Douglas on the above date. Pun.nvh.akau sheep fair, Wednesday, Nth February, 1925. —Our annua! c-ale was held at Puniwhakau as above. We i report a. good yarding of sheep and a large attendance of buyers. All sheep yarded were sold under the hammer. Quotations: 2-tooth ewes 35s to 36s Id; 6-tnoth and f.f.m. ewes 26s 7d to 30s 3d; 4 and 5-year ewes 24s Id to 25s 3d; 4-tooth wethers 34s fid; m.a. wethers 345; m.s. lamibs 17s to Ids 2d. At the .same sale we also offered .approximately 1000 sheep on behalf of Messrs.. Alalone and Worthington. The 4-veair ewes made 27s 6d end m.s. lambs. 19s lOd. The cull ewes were sold at 1-5 s fid and the. lambs at 12s 2d. FARMERS’ CO-OP. SOCIETY. The Farmers’ Co-operative Organisation of New Zealand report having held their first. Annual Sheen Fair at Mr. 01ms. AlcCutchan’s yards, Tahora, on Wednesday, when a good entry came forward. The yarding was made up mostly of ewes of parteularly goon quality, which would compare more than favourably with any hack country sheep in this or any other district. Buyers from .he outside, realising this factor, were eager competitors arid secured most of 'the. offering. Four tooth ewes made oHs, 2 tooths 35s to 38s fid, 4 and 5 year ewes 29s to 31 s fid; lower Conditioned 5 and six year ewes 21s to. 265, good woolly lambs 22s fid, small do, 14s .o 15s. Romney rams all ages £2 2s to £5 ss. 2 year P. A. heifers £3 17s fid.
