ENGLAND’S POLICY. PLAY THE GAME OR CONCENTRATE. VIEWS OF SPORTSMEN. r;Y CABLE - PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT. Received Fob. 13, 12.1 a a.m. LONDON, Feb. 12. The Evening News asked prominent sportsmen what was England’s best policy in view of the lost knack of winning; whether to continue playing for the sake in the game, or to concentrate on winning like America. Corel Harris Says: “It is impossible to further concentrate on an uncertain game like cricket. There is very little 'between ourselves ami the Australians except luck.” \ Lard AYodehou.se expressed the opinion : ‘‘We must adopt the intensive training other international teams undergo. The All Blacks’ is an excellent example thereof. It is an insult to. opponents and a slur on England’s sportsmanship to compete without a trained team. Davies, ex-captain of the England Rugby team, says: “The Prince of Wales gave the right advice —we must concentrate on winning and give more attention to details. 1 believe concentration will jeopardise the spirit of sportsmanship.”
