East End .Jewish librarian, who was charged with attempted suicide, said: “You are a good worthy woman of considerable attainments, but you have been dogged with, the worst of bail luck.” The accused was first acquitted of the charge of wilful murder of ' her daughter bv an, alleged mutual suicide pact. Counsel pointed out that Airs. Trager anil her daughter were wealthy Jews in Palestine, who in the hope that Clod would bless their children. ( devoted their wealth to poor Jews, and left their children nothing whatever. Mrs. Trager first married a rich hiit chant, who lost heavily and died in England. Her second husband died of consumption, and her only daughter cotracted malaria neuritis while nursing in Palestine during the war. She became an invalid and committed suicide. A CONFESSION. ' MURDER OF SIRDAR. PARTICIPANT DIVES INFORMATION. CAIRO, Feb. 11. It transpires that the two men arrested on February 2 in connection with the assassination of the Sirdar (Sir Lee Stack) are Abd El Hamid Anayat of the Student Teachers’ Training College, and his brother, Abd El Fattah Anayat, a student at the Royal School of Law. The latter admitted that he took part in the atack on the Sirdar and gave the names of others connected with the outrage, including his brother.
