M O NTH L Y MEETING
At the ordinary meeting held this morning there were present : Messrs. R. Dunn (chair), E. J. Betts, Li. Sutherland, YV. P. Seed, TL Lyndon. J. C. Duff, W. McL’Dowie, A. L. Campbell, A. J. Haseltine. and the secretary (Mr. E. -K. Cameron). Various matters of routine correspondence received attention'. BOYS’ AND GTRLS’ CLUBS. Kakaramea and Alton applied to be included jn the calf-rearing competition This year. Applications were granted and satisfaction expressed at the increase in number. CAPITATION. •A deputation from Mangatoki branch, Messrs. IV. E. Carter and 0. E. McGuinness, interviewed the executive on the matter of capitation. After some little discussion the nre.siclenit (Mr. Dunn) agreed to attend the next meeting at Mangatoki and address the members, on the subject. The deputation thanked the president and withdrew. CATTLE TICK. This questio’n, was discussed briefly, and it was resolved to send a. letter to the Dominion executive urging them to bring before the Government the need of installing a dip north of the Mokau. and to make it compulsory for all cattle coining through, to Taranaki to be dipped, the charge to be borne by the Government.
