ROWE ON THE MAT. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 12. In consequence of his poor showing in his match with Parker on Monday night, the committee of the Wellington Boxing Association called Vic. Rowe, of Australia, before them to-ciav Rowe said he was fit and denied suggestions that he had not paid attention to training. The committee decided to pay over Rowe’s end of the purse, and report the matter to the Dominion Council, with the opinion that it was not desirable that he be recommended for further matches in the Dominion.
