Mr Chester Weaver,' who is in uiidAtlantic on board the Leviathan, which is due at Cherbourg on Friday, paid 630d01. 62 cents (£136 14s) in postage stamps to be carried by the air mail from San Francisco to New York iii order that he might hoard the Leviathan for a quick trip to Paris. Mr Weaver was ‘'posted” at the San Francisco aerodrome two days before flic Leviathan was scheduled to sail from New York.
4 His journey will establish a, new record for postal service between San Francisco and Paris —a distance of about 7000 miles.
