CONGK ADULATIONS FROM CANADA. /BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON. Feb. 9. The Go\ r ernor-General (Sir Charles Fergusson) has received the following telegram from the Lieutenant-Governor of Alberta, Canada, the message being sent irony Calgary on Saturday:—“Alberta rejoices to-day in the presence of the New Zealand athletes. Heartiest congratulations to our sister Dominion on their Avonderful record and true sportsmanship.—R. G. Brett, Lieuten-ant-Governor.”
His Excellency sent 1 the folJoAving reply: “Are grateful for your hospitality to and appreciation of the team, of which we in New Zealand are A r ery proud.’’
