The Go\ r ernor-General (Sir Charles Fergusson) has received the following telegram from the Lieutenant-Governor of Alberta, Canada, the message being sent irony Calgary on Saturday:—“Alberta rejoices to-day in the presence of the New Zealand athletes. Heartiest congratulations to our sister Dominion on their Avonderful record and true sportsmanship.—R. G. Brett, Lieuten-ant-Governor.”
