AMATEUR ATHLETICS.

VISIT OF AUSTRALIANS. IN HAWERA ON FEBRUARY 25. The Hawera Amateur Athletic Club has accepted the terms proposed by the New Zealand Council for a visit by the Australian team, and the tourists will make their appearance at an electric light carnival on the evening of Wednesday, February 25. The following programme has been approved: 100 yards, 220 yards, 440 yards, 880 yards, and one mile runs, 120 yards hurdles, high jump, shot putting, half-mile, one mile and two' miles cycle, one mile w r alk, and a relay race (Australia v. West Coast Centre).
