STRUCK BY BIG WAVE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received Feb. 9, 10.30 a.m. NEW YORK, Feb. 8. A wireless message received at San Francisco states that the motor-ship Aorangi, on her first trip from Vancouver on the Australian run, was struck by an abnormally large wave yesterday afternoon, about 400 miles off the northern Californian coast. It smashed the bridge and ''promenade deck. A man’s leg was broken and a boy was cut by broken glass.—Reuter.
