At a meeting of tlie Mangatolci branch of the Farmers’ Union held last evening there was some discussion, in view of the, infantile paralysis outbreak, on the advisability of holding the branch’s, . first annual cattle show on February 26 as liad been previously decided. No. decision was reached, further conside nation being postponed. Mr. W. E. Carter (president) occupied the chair, and twenty* members were present. The chairman intimated tlia.t a good number of entries for the show had been received, and more could be anticipated. ;■ In view, however, of the Health Department’|S mandate Restricting the attendance of juveniles at places of public assembly, the meeting would have' to consider tlie advisability of. adhering to the original programme. Air. Tlie menace of the epidemic might be removed before long, and the show could then be held. 1 * •
