' COVERING THE PITCH

(Received Feb. 5, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 4. The Lancashire County Cricket'Club decided to exercise the option of covering the pitch on the Lancashire grounds after 11 o’clock on the day preceding a match till its commencement. It is also considering the erection of a covered practice shed.
